Uvita´s beaches are beautiful. In the Marino Ballena National Park, you can visit the Whale´s Tail, known as the third largest sand formation (tombolo) in the world. Its length is about 700 m and 250 m wide. At low tide, you can walk to its end surrounded on either side by the warm waters of the bay. You will have to pay an entry fee at the park entrance. Save your receipt because you can use it the same day to explore Playa Colonia, Playa Ballena, Playa Arco and Playa Piñuelas, located further south.
