This Month's Tide Charts for South Pacific Costa Rica
Costa Ballena and the South Pacific offer the best surfing conditions: daily sunshine, big waves, and a laid-back atmosphere and lifestyle. Dominical has specially developed into a real surfers’ paradise – visit us and immerse yourself in Pura Vida!
Punta Uvita, Playa Chaman has great waves for first-time surfers to help you learn and get on board. Playa Hermosa has great waves for intermediate surfers, and for more advanced surfers, Punta Achiote and Playa Dominical are consistent and locals’ favorite spots.
Dominical is the gateway and the first beach of Costa Ballena. It has a relaxed atmosphere and is well known as a real surfer’s paradise in the surfing world. If you are new to the sport, some schools give classes for enthusiasts.
The tides chart is one of the favorite pages of our visitors. It is important to know the ideal time to visit the whale tail at the Marino Ballena National Park, and also useful for lovers of sports fishing and surfing.
The tide chart is information to navigate, but remember that weather conditions affect tidal ranges and current speeds sometimes very dramatically.
