Built on a 56-acre property, this elegant resort’s construction takes up less than 8% of the total land mass, leaving 50 acres in a pristine, private reserve. At an altitude of almost 1000 feet, the views of the jungle, beaches, islands, and the endless ocean are overwhelming. There is plenty to discover at this adult-only hotel (no children under 16.) The surrounding sanctuary provides trails with opportunities to observe the abundant wildlife.

The aspiration of the design was to enhance the incredible beauty of the location and the appreciation of it.
The construction, colors, and materials of this adult-only hotel were selected by a local architect to create a combination of traditional and modern Costa Rican styles. The panoramic views are intensified by open architecture and framing achieved by roof placement. Internal sections are defined by natural walls of flora and a central circle with fountains.
The name means butterfly in the local Borucan Indigenous language. The Kua Kua Restaurant makes eating a celebration!
Breakfast is a priority! A wide-ranging a la carte menu featuring fresh fruits, smoothies, bread, pancakes, French toast etc. along with the traditional Tico and American breakfasts.

”The dinner menu is a presentation of exotic flavors with local ingredients, using culinary inspirations from Mediterranean, Nordic and Latin cuisines. Dinner is an eclectic experience, the event of the day.”
The 360 Bar
Along with a full selection of beer, wine, and spirits, they have partnered with McCormick Distilling Inc. to feature a specialty “360” line of vodka.
A specific bar menu features tapas and signature cuisine including “Peruvian ceviche with grouper, roasted sweet potato, and pickled carrots” to the more traditional “slow cooked BBQ ribs with potato chips”.
