This March, another splendid Spheres Festival will take place at the central square in Palmar Sur. Hundreds of visitors from all over Costa Rica are looking forward to this event, to admire once again, the colorful display of art and culture; it will be an outdoor event under the shade of many beautiful ancient trees.
All outdoor concerts, dance and theater presentations, art galleries, cinema, and workshops are for everybody, and they are free of charge.
Visitors will be guided to the recently opened Spheres’ Museum, located at Finca 6, just eight km south of Palmar Sur, where the mystical pre-Columbian Spheres can still be found in their original position.
There will be the second edition of the Spheres´ recreational race, starting at Finca 6 and ending at the Park. Additionally, the first edition of the Mountain-Bike Race (47 km) will be promoted. Register any time.
On the program, we found music and dance groups already knows in the area since last year captivated the public with their masterful expressions, such as the Banda of San José, and UNA danza joven. It is a huge family gathering where you can sit by the beautiful gardens, enjoy tasty typical food, or participate in any of the activities.
Highlights on the program:
Saturday 29th, 10 am – Museum at Finca 6
Boruca – indigenous art presentation
2 pm – Little Devils Dance – (indigenous culture – Rey Curré)
Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th, March
Tours guided by specialist to the Spheres´ Museum at Finca 6 are available.
