Ballena Tales #83, South Pacific Costa Rica Free Magazine

Dear reader,

Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!

The summer of 2022 awaits you with intense blue skies without a cloud, the warm turquoise waters of the Pacific Ocean are transparent, and the sand is burning hot. The full moon on the beach is an unforgettable experience, caressed by the silky air and the sound of crashing waves. You might even observe the bioluminescence that turns the surf iridescent and brilliant blue in the darkest hours of the night.
Dominical is one of the best-known surf in Central America and a vibrant hub for after-sunset events. Sharon and Dean dream of getting back to Dominicalito, their favorite beach. The tiny fishing village is a few kilometers to the south, with the boats swaying in the bay or anchored on the shore.

Uvita, which many call the capital of Costa Ballena, is our commercial center. We welcome Price Automotive Group and Osa Mini Golf in Uvita on board and thank them for trusting us to promote their outstanding initiatives. Legal del Sur provides crucial tax advice on active and inactive companies. Three more restaurants are on board: Fernando’s on the beach boulevard in Bahía, Café de Aroma near the gas station, and La Costeña on the way to Marino Ballena National Park.

More news from Costa Ballena is that Innoceana recently opened a Marine Education and Conservation Center (MCEC) in Ojochal. Andy Mann, a widely traveled visual storyteller, and an environmental photographer, was in attendance and donated some of his most treasured photos to Innoceana to help fund the new Center. See our interview with Andy.
In Ojochal, we welcome the Akka Institute, a sacred space nestled in the jungle, and the innovative MoodDeporte Sports Store in Plaza Ventanas.

In Ojochal, we welcome the Akka Institute, a sacred space nestled in the jungle, and the innovative MoodDeporte Sports Store in Plaza Ventanas.
We hope that the stories presented by our incredible team of writers help you better understand our area, the environment, and the animal world with whom we share paradise, the initiatives of the people who live here, and their hospitality.
Coincidentally, we have two articles warning of burning land causing devastating problems, especially for animals. Don’t only watch the destruction, get up, and alert 911.
