Saeeda Wright, Journey to Love

Saeeda’s home is Portland, Oregon. Raised in a Christian, music-loving family, she very early knew that singing was to be her career. She studied music, trained her voice, and learned that singing is about communicating and conveying emotions. In her hometown, she participated in gospel groups, and has accomplished more than 20 years of performance experience. She proudly toured Canada and the U.S.with the one and only PRINCE, an excellent musician who passed away in April, 2016. At the official Prince Tribute in Minneapolis, in October, 2016, her contribution was the classic “Purple Rain”.
Her magnetic voice, lyrics (mostly written by her), melodies, and electrifying passion she expresses interpreting her music will sure touch your soul and elevate your spirit.
Saeeda met Suzanne Hart, the new owner of the Vista Ballena Hotel about 5 years ago at a show in Portland. They soon found out they were on the same wavelength and had a similar mission to Love, Encourage, and Inspire.
When Suzanne invited her to come to Costa Rica she didn’t think twice. She gave heart and soul to her first international show as a solo artist at the beautifully revamped hotel. Alex Milsted, her musical director, and the versatile Glen Hoover accompanied her.
When we interviewed Saeeda Wright in mid-November, still rainy season, grey sky, though the fascinating Whale’s Tail was perfectly distinguishable, she marveled: “I like the rain, the mild climate, even the beautiful fog is mysterious, and toucans were answering when Alex and Glen played their instruments. In over 20 years of musical journey,
I have had many triumphs and setbacks, which built me into the woman I am today. I need to share the message of love, strength, forgiveness, and acceptance!”
