Pura Bee Amor
AUTHOR: Carlos and Heather
Bienvenidos a nuestro proyecto , Pura Bee Amor🐝 Welcome to our project , Pure Bee Love 💝
We, Carlos Guadamuz & Heather Sanden, are grateful to be a part of this Ballena Tales issue honoring Dagmar with our community initiative and bee love with you! We do this through workshops, tours, bee services/care, and consciously co-created natural medicines and bee products.
Bee guardianship is a meditative practice as they are one of the most sensitive creatures to smells, sound, energetic vibrations, and colors. You have to move slowly when you’re doing it so you don’t hurt or upset the bees or get stung. The process indeed requires communicative teamwork, compassion, and conscious care. Even more so, one becomes so in tune with the plants in bloom, changes to local weather, and the importance of planting native species for all the other pollinators. Bees are primary pollinators and part of the biodiversity on which we all depend for our survival, making them essential for the health of the people and our planet. They provide high-quality food—honey, royal jelly, pollen — and other medicinal products such as beeswax and propolis. It’s a very serene discipline, and the bees are just fascinating. We hold intentions to help inspire and guide others to follow the path from awareness to action and advocacy.
As local bee guardians in Playa Hermosa de Osa, we have been rescuing, relocating, and consciously caring for these bee-loved creatures for more than four years. What started as a rescue and #savethebees passion project has authentically grown to manifest our bee-beautiful visions and dreams in our personal and professional lives. Through investing in much time, energy, education, financials, and experiences ... we continue to grow.

With the extreme seasons of Costa Rica - summer sunshine dryness to heavy flooding rains - we humbly continue to develop our quality care and deepen the connection with these small yet mighty bee-ings. With around 20,000 species of bees known worldwide, we work with the various Honeybees (Apis Melifera) and the Native Costa Rican stingless bees Mariolas or Angelitas (Tetragonisca Angustula). Carlos has been adjusting and constructing "jungle-proof" bee homes to ensure safe and healthy spaces for these bee varieties. We now offer others Mariola homes, and two for the Honeybees, which include Langstroth and Top Bar.
We genuinely care for the bees first and foremost, so we call ourselves "Bee Guardians." We are not in it for the business, money, or mass production of the many medicines the bee offers - though it has become another blessing due to this passion project.
We offer Honeybee and Mariola workshops and tours to share these unique, hands-on educational experiences with others. As it isn't the sort of thing you watch a few YouTube videos and wah-lah, there are bees at your home and honey on tap. It takes real training, research and education, hands-on experiences, and the right equipment, blended with plenty of practice, love, patience, and perseverance.
Besides our services, workshops, and tours, we mindfully harvest and craft 100% organic, raw, pure honey, pollen (Golden Wave), beeswax, and propolis products. Our honeybee harvests are only held in the summer when the bees have an overabundance of honey. And our pure beeswax comes from the harvested honeycomb caps and the cleaning of frames. We then purify it over a wood fire, resulting in the naturally pleasant aromas of honey, propolis, and fire.
Beeswax candles are a natural, renewable resource that emits a bright, healthful light within the same spectrum as the sun. When lit, the negative ions released help neutralize air pollutants, eliminating dust, odors, and mold in the atmosphere, easing allergy and asthma symptoms to improve breathing for everyone nearby...while delivering sweet, positive energy that invigorates mind, body, and spirit!.

We also include our pure beeswax base for our HeaLynn Essentials products, which contain pure local, organic ingredients, and therapeutic-grade essential oils. These include the Release Salve (optional CBD), Bug Shield Salve, multi-purpose balms, and ocean reef/child-safe 'Sol Essentials' sun protector packaged in recycled bamboo containers. OMade with love, we are delighted to offer these Pura Bee Amor gifts in various online and on-site shops and markets.
Honestly, it has been and is such a magical experience to learn from and co-create with the bees. We would be honored to share our Pura Bee Amor with each of you, whether it be connecting through our rescues and relocation care services, social channels, on-site workshops and tours, local farmers markets, events, or providing bee homes for you and yours!
Please do not hesitate to contact us for further interest and questions about our Pure Bee Love products, services, workshops, and tours.
