You no longer have to travel to San José, San Isidro, or Quepos!
UvitaLab is located in the new “VITA PLAZA” Medical Center at the entrance to Uvita near the Bahía Ballena Service Station. The atmosphere is friendly and neat. The laboratory has state-of-the-art technology, both in state-of-the-art equipment and specialized software for carrying out analyses, preparing, and sending reports. The UvitaLab staff is committed to medical ethics and works both with doctors in the area and others nationally and internationally. The results are available the same day, except for some tests that must be sent outside the country due to their complexity.
Dr. Carol Castro Castrillo is a Microbiologist and Clinical Chemistry and is currently studying a specialty in Medical Bacteriology. Microbiology deals with analyzing and studying organisms that are only visible through a microscope. Her passion for this microscopic world prompted her to open UvitaLab in December 2021. She and her bilingual team are pioneers in the Canton of Osa, providing a wide range of clinical analyses covering the areas of Haematology, Clinical Chemistry, Immunology, Urinalysis, Parasitology, Bacteriology, Molecular Biology, and Sexual Health, among others.
At UvitaLab, you can undergo everything from general health check-ups to the most modern genetic tests for the diagnosis of congenital malformations, compatibility tests for couples, and different types of cancer, autism, epilepsy, or sexually transmitted diseases. In addition, you can perform water analysis and guarantee the safe use and consumption of this vital liquid.
UvitaLab is a company committed to the environment, with the rational use of resources and the proper disposal of biohazardous waste, subject to certified processes before final disposal.
In addition, they provide visits to your home, hotel, or company.
The prices of the exams at UvitaLab are according to the rates established by the College of Microbiologists and Clinical Chemists of Costa Rica.
