Free Digital Magazine in Costa Rica #89

Dear readers, advertisers, and collaborators

We are proudly publishing our number 89 edition. Honoring our founder, this issue is emphasized in initiatives we have in our community.

We had a rough start to the year, but we know that the legacy of Dagmar must continue. She started Ballena Tales Magazine to celebrate the beautiful Costa Ballena initiatives with residents and visitors. She created a kind, cheerful, optimistic, green magazine that also spreads the beauty of our delightful destination.

Dagmar wrote about Amanda Ellis's 2023 World Prediction in the last edition's editorial. She predicted a year full of changes, which already became true for us. Even when it will never be the same again, the team will try to make the magazine as unique as it always was. Dagmar will always remain a part of Ballena Tales in spirit.

Free Digital Magazine 89, Family Support Center

With a positive message, Ballena Tales articles talk about helping local poor people, culture environmental protection, lifeguards, local farmer markets, wildlife, healthy life, dogs and cats rescue, local events, and uniquely promoting the beauties that have our destination.

A special thanks to our collaborators; in this edition, dear reader, you´ll enjoy lovely articles about our community's good initiatives.

At the same time, we can speak about our paradise; we celebrate the support received from our advertisers that permits us to follow showing their good services (real estate, medical, beauty esthetical, healthy food, lawyers, accountants, architects, construction, furnishings, photography, lodging, restaurants, adventure, and others).

A special thanks to our advertisers who have responded positively so that Ballena Tales remains part of our community.

Digital Magazine 89, Bee Guardians

Read our featured article about the Pura Vida Bee Amor initiative. Their founders began it four years ago in Playa Hermosa de Osa. They rescue, relocate and care for the bees.

The Path of the Tapir Biological Corridor is one of the most successful initiatives for rescuing our biodiversity.

Digital Magazine 89 Caño Island Costa Rica

Of course, you’ll find excellent information about the opportunities you have visiting us; read the article about the Caño Island tour, good restaurants, lodging, and more offers.

Costa Ballena’s paradise attracts more people every day who flee the daily life of the big cities to settle in this beautiful place experiencing significant urban growth. Hundreds of native Costa Rican bird species live with us and others on their journey to warmer fields. We also enjoy exceptional fauna and flora, but this ecosystem is fragile. We must protect it from continuing to enjoy the positive energy from the forest and the ocean.

Digital Magazine 89 Beaches of Costa Ballena

Dear reader, if you visit us or are already part of the community, contribute your grain of sand to protect our forest, flora, fauna, rivers, and beaches from contamination.

Pura Vida!
