Diana's Passion is Singing

Making People Happy Through Her Music

AUTHOR: Dagmar Reinhard

Diana Cappella is tica from San José. She grew up in a family that supported her talent as a singer from childhood. Her great-grandmother, a famous singer in Costa Rica, was her idol. Diana participated in talent shows at only 13 years old and excelled in her high school choir. The choir toured the United States, Texas, and Central America. (Broadway was always her dream!) Singing became her passion.

Now, her teachers at school recommended that she pursue a "real" profession instead of becoming a singer. So, she studied photography. She sings at private events, “I lost my scenic fear a long time ago,” she mentions.

Chelsea Alyssa, at one point, joins Diana´s show on the stage. Her dance is entirely improvised, and the movements are fluid and secure.

Chelsea is a Holistic Health Coach and Yoga Teacher from Texas, and in 2019, she first came to Costa Rica. From Austin, the capital of eclectic events, she was intrigued by what she would find in the jungle in Costa Rica. A friend back home recommended she attend Envision in Uvita in Costa Ballena, where she would meet her family. The ambiance and energy at Envision were bubbling with love and colors, and the jungle and the beach, fire dancers, music everywhere, silky temperatures at night, and tropical heat during the days. Chelsea worked as a volunteer collaborating with building the bamboo stage and giving yoga classes.

She met a young Tico, a well-known guy in the Dominical´s surfer community. She then knew that she had found the family promised by her Texan friend years ago.

Back to Diana. Pay attention to the parallels which connect both and how their friendship is interwoven, as you will see.

Diana's husband is a Tico-gringo, and five years ago, they married in Texas. In Costa Ballena, they run a Property Management business.

Both couples met for the first time at the Patron´s gym in Dominical. Turns out that both live in the same community. Diana and Chelsea become friends, loving a healthy lifestyle and sharing ideas about networking marketing, getting involved with the community, and learning a lot from their new Tico neighbors.

They love parties and dancing and plan to promote events along the coast as a team.
