What do you think of when you hear canvas rugs ?
Although canvas rugs, known as floor cloths, are an old art form, few people are familiar with this versatile product. I started making canvas rugs in Costa Rica 18 years ago to provide custom art as a novel option for homeowners and interior designers

What are canvas rugs ?
Canvas rugs are made from 100% heavy cotton canvas pre-shrunk, measured, and cut to any size or shape. They are then sewn around the edges for a sturdy hem.
Once painted with outdoor paint, the canvas is sealed with four coats of polyurethane varnish. This is what allows these rugs to be walked on. They can be washed with soap and water and cared for like a hardwood floor.

Where can you use a canvas rug?
They are designed to be placed on a flat, smooth surface, such as ceramic tile, wood, or linoleum flooring.
Canvas rugs last 20-30 years. They are easy to clean and ideal for all areas of the house, such as the kitchen, living room, bathroom, hallways, or under the dining table.
Canvas rugs do not stain. They withstand dirt, food, drink, dogs, and kids. If you want an easy solution as well as a singular design talk to Laurel about how canvas rugs can work in your home It's important to note that canvas rugs are not for full outdoor use but are perfect for covered outdoor areas as they can withstand partial sun and rain and are easily cleaned.
