Over the last two years John and Janet Chantry, owners of the Bamboo Room Restaurant and the adjacent Alma de Ojochal Boutique Hotel, have built up their reputation as amazing and very active music event organizers. 

John, a musician himself, makes sure that there are presentations of international and national artists all week long. 

The local talent is impressive such as The Jungle Bro, Trianos, Tim Rath and Ken Nickell. From abroad just recently played and sang Chuck Jackson, Tyler Yarema, Darin Talbot who were effusively applauded. 

Both restaurant and hotel are perched on the ridge overlooking an expansive mountain range, a magnificent valley, and the Pacific Ocean, they are very unique places to enjoy the jungle below. The Bamboo Room Restaurant serves up homemade goodness with a varied menu including their famous Bamboo shrimp salad, beer battered fish and chips, tuna tartare or filet mignon. 

New: T-Bone Tuesday. Their products all sourced locally from organic growers and farmers. You can’t beat the combination of flavours, entertainment and ambiance.

On the far side of the property lies the family´s other endeavour: The Alma de Ojochal Boutique Hotel. Crisp white cotton sheets, air conditioning, oversized balconies to enjoy bird watching or the beautiful Pacific! The team will treat you right by serving you a full breakfast to start the day of Costa Rica fun. 

Service at its finest at a reasonable rate! 

Both venues enjoy the magnificent community of Ojochal, where the sense of country neighborhood is ever present. Whether you join the place for the live music, a charity event for a local animal shelter, or just for lunch and a place to hang your hat, your senses will be delighted!
