"Art Heritage " Unreleased Art exhibition

Matisse - retrato de una damaDuring the months of April, May and June , the National Gallery will host one of the most important art exhibitions that have arrived in the country . Art lovers will be happy, and no wonder since this artistic heart of the capital, will bring together 158 works of art; among which are masterpieces of renowned artists such as Picasso , Renoir, Andy Warhol, among many other painters who represent the best of art .

The outstanding art show will be exhibited from 28 April to 28 June in all rooms on the first and the second-floor of the National Gallery.

As part of the activities marking the 20th Anniversary of the Costa Rican Center of Science and Culture ( C.C.C.C.), all pieces will be part of the exhibition “Art Heritage ,” completely free to the Costa Rican public.

For two months, the public can appreciate first hand and free of charge more than 2,000 years old works, more than 1,500 years old pre-Columbian pieces and various periods up to contemporary art.

The exhibition will provide the opportunity to enjoy Burmese, ancient Chinese and African art. Art videos, paintings, sculptures, works on paper , modern art, among other trends .

The renowned sculptor and Spanish painter Pablo Picasso´s masterpieces “Minotaur Attaquant une Amazone ” (1933 ) , “Portrait d’ Olga Picasso” (1919) and ” The Minautoro ” (1933 ) will be exhibited.
Artist Renoir´s “Bust of Madame Renoir” made of bronze will be presented.

The National Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The public can also enjoy the exhibition “Art Heritage” , on weekends , on a schedule of 9:30 am to 5:00 pm .

Admission is free for domestic and foreign visitors.
