During its first three years as a new school, Uvita Christian Academy (UCA) experienced tremendous growth. The school began with only five students, and ended the 2015 school year with over 60 students!
According to Scott Bogard, owner of UCA,
“We attribute this growth to God’s blessing on our school, and to the amazing curriculum our teaching staff provides for our student body. Parents want what we have to offer. Not only are we giving personal attention to each student as he or she masters key educational concepts, but we are instilling good moral values in the students as they mature into young adults.”
“One of our key objectives,” says Brigit Bogard, Directress of Mastery-Based Education, “is that our students graduate from UCA with the language skills necessary to attend university in the US, Costa Rica, or in another Spanish speaking country.” UCA has a bilingual curriculum of study, accompanied by a fully bilingual staff for 2016.
A US diploma is one of the most exciting elements that the academy offers. This is a very important piece of the educational process for ex-pat families in the area.
“I would encourage any parent who has not yet taken a private tour of our school to contact us today,” said Scott Bogard. “Many times parents are pleasantly surprised to see how our curriculum works and thrilled to see how much Spanish is spoken and taught at UCA.”
