The Whale Resort at Osa Peninsula

There is so much to see and do on the Osa Peninsula. It is a refuge for a large diversity of flora and fauna. There is an abundance of marine life, including dolphins, whale sharks, and huge humpback whales.
The humpback whales take three-month journeys from Alaska and the Antarctic. They are most likely to be seen in the Golfo Dulce between July and October, and then again, from January to April, when they have their newborns. The Whale Resort is a private mini resort located near Puerto Jiménez, along the shoreline of the quiet and peaceful ‘Playa Juanito Mora’ beach, with its soft sands and tall palm trees. The water is always warm and calm, safe for swimming, and quite often you will have the beach all to yourself!

The Whale Resort has three beautifully equipped homes on the 3.5 acre beachfront property; each one has its own private pool and deck area. The property sits on the beach, but in the middle of the luscious tropical jungle as well, with heliconias, birds of paradise, and vivid orchids. It is a natural habitat to three species of monkeys, toucans, and scarlet macaws.
Our oceanfront property consists of three homes with A/C and sleeps six to twenty people comfortably, and all of the houses are fully equipped. The main home has a very large kitchen, a wet bar, and a big entertainment room for social gatherings. The large porch offers a gas grill and seating for more than 20 people, ensuring a great pool party!

We offer a very private out of the way setting, but we are only 15 minutes from Puerto Jiménez, a larger port town that offers every amenity; restaurants, tour operators, sport fishing, medical facilities, banks, and a commercial airport. If you don’t want to make a trip into town, we also have a local Canaza grocery store about 5 minutes from the property.
We have a 24-hour concierge, along with a full-time staff taking care of the gardens, the pool, the house cleaning, and laundry services. We also offer private
chef services at your request.
The Whale Resort offers its own water tour, ‘A Taste of the Golfo Dulce” exclusively designed for our guests!
Don’t worry about leaving anyone behind either; we designed the resort to safely accommodate all ages.
